EPR REGISTRATION FOR TYRE WASTE

EXTENDED PRODUCER RESPONSIBILITY COMPLIANCE UNDER WASTE TYRE MANAGEMENT RULES, 2022

What is EPR for Tyre Waste?

EPR for Tyre Waste is a mandatory compliance obligation under the Waste Tyre Management Rules, 2022, issued by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC). It requires tyre manufacturers, importers, and retreaders to take responsibility for the collection and channelization of end-of-life tyres (ELT) for recycling or energy recovery.

Registration is done on the CPCB portal and entities must fulfil annual collection targets for waste tyres. Non-compliance exposes businesses to environmental compensation, product bans, and legal action under the Environment Protection Act, 1986.

Covers All Tyre Categories

Passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, two-wheelers, three-wheelers, off-road, and OTR tyres.
